Mark, I used to have an old boss who said people like to do business with people they like. Integrity is certainly a likable trait in a person and a business - one I hope to see more of in the future. Unfortunately, it is a lack of this trait which has been a cause of the current economic crisis this country is experiencing. Without integrity, what are businesses but get-rich-quick ventures out for the money? And nobody wants to do business with greedy people who are only out for the buck. Then I read in the other day's USAToday paper that the majority of doctors today lack EMPATHY. This is true particularly among cancer doctors - and thus, no wonder we are seeing advocacy services being set up and offered to help cancer patients navigate the healthcare system. Oh, boy - it's so pervasive this lack of integrity - that we could talk about it for days on end. I like how you end your post with a call to action ... for moment by moment practice of integrity. Let's do it!
